Bio

Dawnmarie is the Head of US Broker Practice for the Lloyd’s Corporation, responsible for market development activities and key account management for Global and US brokers. Dawnmarie has worked as both a broker and an underwriter and spent her whole career in the insurance industry- over 25 years.  She has previously held senior leadership roles with BMS Group, Ascot, Aon Benfield, AIG, and Chubb.

Dawnmarie has her Bachelor of Arts degree from Allegheny College, where she majored in English Literature.  She is a current board member of APIW and IRUA. She is actively involved in philanthropic efforts (5x Covenant House Sleep-Out veteran), has traveled 2x to La Alianza in Guatemala, and is currently the Chair of the IICF Boston Board. She also volunteers delivering Meals for Meals on Wheels, and works with the Clarina Howard House (domestic violence shelter) locally. Dawnmarie has been a member of the Latin America Development Board for Covenant House since 2020.  She loves fly-fishing, skiing, hiking, and has successfully gone sky diving once.

Bio

Catherine (Cathy) Duffy serves as AIG’s Country Leader of Bermuda. She leads local operations, including a cross-functional team, and drives the achievement of AIG’s strategic objectives in Bermuda. Cathy is the “face of AIG” within Bermuda for customers, brokers, reinsurers, and others. She also coordinates with North American product leaders to provide direction to local underwriting teams. She chairs various AIG Bermuda Boards as well as sits on boards for various AIG Bermuda affiliates.

Cathy is a veteran of the Bermuda International Insurance Industry with experience across many aspects of the industry. She was the first Bermudian woman to gain her CPCU and the author of the first comprehensive book tracing the historical development of the International Insurance Industry, Held Captive - A History of International Insurance in Bermuda.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, she has been a civic and community leader, including serving as the only female commissioner of the SAGE Commission, a Bermuda Public Service Commissioner, and other service roles over the years. 

Cathy earned a Bachelor Business Administration in Insurance from Howard University. She has completed executive management programs through Harvard, INSEAD, MIT and Wharton.   In 2019 Cathy completed the Fellow’s program for the International Women’s Forum (IWF).  She is now an IWF member in the Bermuda chapter. She has also completed the AIG Women’s Executive Leadership Initiative (WELI) Program (Class of 2020). Cathy has been accepted in the Yale Women on Boards Program with the plan to complete in 2021.
